How to Add the Content Audit Field to Your Custom Content Types

The content audit feature of SiteFarm relies on the content audit field being attached to content types.

To add the Content Audit field to your custom content types

  1. From the admin panel, click on Structure.
  2. On the Structure page, click on Content Types.
  3. Click the Manage Fields button for your existing custom content type.
  4. Locate and click on the + Add field button.
  5. On the Add field page select the Content Audit Field: field_sf_content_audit field from the Re-use an existing field drop-down list
  6. Click Save and continue
  7. Leave the default values as they are on the Content Audit settings page and click the Save settings button.
  8. You will now see the Content Audit field listed on the Manage Fields tab for your content type.
  9. Click the Manage form display tab.
  10. Make sure the Content Audit field is not disabled. 
  11. Click the Manage display tab and remove the field from any displays where it is enabled.
