Computational Social Science is about developing and applying computational tools to deepen our understanding of long–standing questions in the social sciences, as well as exploring new ones. Across its diverse departments, UC Davis offers courses that effectively make it a leader in the exploitation of current opportunities offered by computational social science. This DE creates synergies among the existing courses and research initiatives by bringing them together in a coherent way. In this sense, the DE provides new and complementary dimensions to existing graduate programs.
