Promoting Content

Promotion optionsThere is a section in most of the content types called "Promotion Options", located on the right side of the screen at the bottom of the Additional Options panel. In this section, you can choose to make "sticky at the top of lists" and/or make it "Feature Content".

Sticky at top of lists

When applied to a piece of content using the Article, Person, or Event content types, the node in question will be assigned to the top of the list when displayed in News, Events, or Directory pages or in your custom Views, depending on how they have been configured.

An urgent announcement at the top of the News or a prominent person profile are examples of how the Sticky option might be used.
