Multi-Factor Authentication Required on Site Factory

Acquia Cloud Site Factory requires multi-factor authentication, a 2-step process for logging in using two separate passwords. The SiteFarm team sent out a message to the SiteFarm user community on June 3, 2019 with the following information:

Hello everyone,

This message applies toSiteFarm users who are currently members of Acquia Cloud Site Factory.

In an effort to meet compliance standards and to improve best-practice standards for account security on the Acquia platform, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be required to access Site Factory after July 1, 2019. Users with accounts in Site Factory have an approximately 1 month grace period to set up their MFA before the system will require the two-step login by default.

Conveniently, Acquia’s MFA accepts Duo (don’t be concerned that their documentation doesn’t explicitly list it) and, since the campus is supporting this app for MFA security purposes, we strongly encourage you to use Duo in this instance. If you don’t yet have the Duo Mobile app on your smartphone, you can download it for free from the iOS App Store or Google Play.

Once you have the Duo Mobile app on your phone, follow the instructions provided by Acquia on its Using two-factor authentication with your Acquia user account page under the heading “Settings up two-step verification on an Acquia user account” > “Using a mobile application".

For more information on improving cybersecurity across the UC Davis campus through MFA by using Duo, check out: https://movetoduo.ucdavis.edu.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you,
YourSiteFarm Team

Site Factory account holders, existing and future, are required to use this process.
