Adding your own site logo

By default, your site includes the SiteFarm logo, but only so you can see where that image is used in your site (header and footer).

To use the site without a logo

  1. Using your admin panel, navigate to Appearance » Settings.
  2. In the settings screen, click on the Global Settings tab
  3. Locate the Logo Image section, then highlight and remove this information from the Path to custom logo field: profiles/sitefarm/sitefarm_logo.svg.
  4. Click Save configuration.
  5. Next, click on the SiteFarm One theme tab.
  6. Locate the Logo image section for this theme, and uncheck the Use the logo supplied by the theme checkbox.
  7. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Save configuration.

To use your own site logo

If the logo needs to be uploaded...

  1. ight-click on the image link and select Copy link address.
  2. Using your admin panel, navigate to Manage » Appearance » SiteFarm One (default theme) » Settings link.
  3. In the Logo image section, uncheck the Use the logo supplied by the theme checkbox. This will provide you with the Path to custom logo field.
  4. Under Upload logo image title, click the Choose file button and select your image from its external location.
  5. Enter an appropriate description in the Logo alternative text field.
  6. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the Save configuration button to finish. Return to a page in your site and refresh your screen to confirm your new logo displays.

If the logo is already on your site...

  1. Navigate to Shortcuts » All content » Media tab.
  2. Locate your image in the Media Library.
  3. Click on the image's file link or click its Edit tab.
  4. On the image's screen, under the Image label, right-click on the image link and select Copy link address.
  5. Using your admin panel, navigate to Manage » Appearance » SiteFarm One (default theme) » Settings link.
  6. In the Logo image section, uncheck the Use the logo supplied by the theme checkbox. This will provide you with the Path to custom logo field.
  7. Paste in the logo image pathway you copied earlier in Step 3. When you paste it in it will likely look like:
    https://mysitename.sf.ucdavis.edu/sites/g/files/dgvnsk0005/files/media/images/logo.png

    You will want to change this by removing the domain name information and its trailing backslash, so you're left with:
    sites/g/files/dgvnsk0005/files/media/images/logo.png
    This is the path format you should have in your field.
  8. Enter an appropriate description in the Logo alternative text field.
  9. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the Save configuration button to finish. Return to a page in your site and refresh your screen to confirm your new logo displays.

Is your logo still not displaying?

  1. It's possible you or someone else may have made a change to the Site branding block on your site. Go to Shortcuts » Blocks and, under the HEADER region, look for 'Site branding'. Click its Configure button and confirm that the Site logo checkbox is checked.
  2. Your site's cache may need to be cleared.
