Development Roadmap Update Nov 2026
Theme Refresh Deployment Date Narrowed to January 2027
Since opening the Dev environment to site owners to review the impact of the theme refresh on their sites our team has received enough feedback to indicate that a mid-November deployment is too ambitious. This means we’ll be looking at a date in mid-January to deploy the theme update to the entire service. A specific date will be announced as we get closer to the new year.
Come Play in the Demo Site Sandbox
Many of you have approached us about having your sites added to the Dev environment because, naturally, you’re interested in seeing how your site will look with the new theme. While we’re unable to add every site to the Dev server what we have done is recreated the SiteFarm Demo site on Dev. This means our entire user community can use this site as a sandbox to try making pages, reviewing existing and new blocks, get a feel for the updated navigation system and more. You’ll sign on using your usual Kerberos ID and password, and then have access to the Demo site as an Editor only. Keep in mind that multiple people can be working on the site at one time, see each other’s work, and interact with each other’s content and changes. If you spot any bugs or concerns, be sure to let us know in the pinned thread on the #sitefarm Slack channel.

Subtheme Migration and AI Tools Guidance
Mark Miller has put together a more comprehensive document to help those of you working on your subthemes especially in light of the upcoming theme refresh. Please note that we consider this file to be a living document and subject to frequent updates as we refine the information and update its content. If you're utilizing AI tools, it includes a section you can copy and paste directly into your prompt field for your convenience.
