Marketing highlight block

The Marketing highlight block allows you to include an image and a short title. It's meant to draw the eye and invite visitors to click on a link to more detailed content.

To create a Marketing highlight

  1. From the admin panel, click on Shortcuts » All Content » Blocks.
  2. Click on the +Add content block button.
  3. From the list of available blocks, click on Marketing highlight.
  4. Set your initial configuration options:
    1. Branding color (optional)
    2. Sibling column size (optional)
    3. Apply featured styling to this block [checkbox] (optional)

      This block has an alternate style to make it stand out from other blocks of this type. Enable this feature to apply the alternate style.

  5. Configure the available options (outlined below).
  6. Click Save to finish.

Configure your Marketing highlight

Available options include:

  • Block description - (required) - A brief description of your block
  • Title - (required)
  • Link - (required) - Start typing the title of a piece of content to select it. You can also enter an internal path such as /node/add or an external URL such as http://example.com. 
  • Primary image - (optional) - upload from your local system
  • Description - (optional) - Add some descriptive text to give further information to the viewer. In addition, it will allow you to add a Badge Label and Call to Action text.
  • Call to Action - (optional) - 
  • Badge Label - (optional) - 
  • Revision information - A long-time Drupal Core bug prevents this field from working as designed. Unfortunately, blocks do not include revision or reversion features, unlike page types.

When the block configurations are complete, move on to reviewing your block's visibility.
