Change Log 10.3.3.
In 10.3.3. we introduce support for Aggie Video, thanks to a long-term effort and collaboration between our team and the folks who see to the popular video support platform for UC Davis. What this means for you is the following:
Changes:
- URL Embed now supports video links from Aggie Video's oEmbed link option. Our documentation has been updated to show you the steps.
- Insert HTML is a new WYSIWYG icon option, available from the Show More button, that allows users to insert an iframe tag snippet directly into the flow of the WYSIWYG content. It creates a code window where you can paste in your iframe code, approve it by clicking the checkmark that then grays out the code, and you can continue working on the page content. This has been designed specifically to work with Aggie Video playlists and, in that context, includes stylings to make the video and playlist display nicely in your pages. Please note that you must create a specific playlist in Aggie Video in order to create the necessary iframe snippet.
- Pros: you don't need to convert the Text Format from Basic HTML to Full HTML, and contributors and editors can still access the page to perform updates.
- Cons: the content of the iframe snippet, if not from Aggie Video, is subject to the same rules and limitations as any code that is used in Basic HTML, so be aware that unapproved tags, like CSS, will be removed on Save. If you find that this happens and it's styling you need, you should consider still using the Full HTML embed option.
Fixes:
- + Add to my Calendar button on event pages is functional again. Users reported that clicking the button didn't provide the drop-down menu or download the selected calendar file.
